Het Holocaust Namenmonument van architect Daniel Libeskind komt toch in het Wertheimpark te staan. Dat besloot het stadsdeel deze week. Dit ondanks protest van buurtbewoners en Karina Wolkers, die in Het Parool liet weten „woest” te zijn. Het park zou te klein zijn voor nóg een groot monument en het Spiegelmonument van Jan Wolkers zou erdoor in de verdrukking komen.
Op de foto: architect Daniel Libeskind staat de pers te woord in Wertheim plantsoen.
The Holocaust Name Memorial of architect Daniel Libeskind (pic) will be in the Wertheim Park in Amsterdam, next to the Auschwitzmonument by artist Jan Wolkers in this little park. The neighborhood and the widow of the artist protest.
